Position Summary:

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care plans, administer medications, and monitor the health and wellbeing of residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, conducting health assessments, and responding to medical emergencies with professionalism and efficiency. Your dedication to maintaining a safe, supportive, and respectful environment will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of geriatric care, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.


  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse
  • Completion of an approved Practical Nursing program
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in medication administration and management
  • Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in geriatric care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational, leadership and time management skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and related software
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move residents as required
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development


Starting salary $27.72 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. After completing 450 hours you are entitled to 12% in lieu of benefits.
